A Hidden Gem Therapist Waiting to Be Found by You
Hi, hello 👋
I'm Rong, a therapist practicing in Washington State ☺️
It took a lot of courage for me to open my own private practice and put myself out here.
As someone who dances between introversion and extroversion, who is just as afraid of rejection as she is full of warmth—I’ve stepped outside of my comfort zone, in hopes of meeting someone just as worthy as you!
If you often feel like you're not good enough, struggle with perfectionism or people-pleasing, and tend to meet others’ needs by sacrificing your own—
If your friends say you're “too sensitive” or “think too much,” and your parents expect you to fulfill all of their hopes—
If you’ve rarely felt truly connected in your relationships, always seem strong and capable on the outside, but deep down don’t have a clear sense of who you are…
If you feel exhausted, confused, and start to wonder:
“Maybe I’m not lovable. Maybe I’m not special. Maybe I’m just not enough.”
And on top of emotional burnout, you also deal with insomnia, fatigue, gut issues, chest tightness, irregular cycles, weakened immunity, or chronic muscle tension...
Then first,
let me offer you a big virtual hug 🤗
I want you to know: you are not alone, and you don’t have to carry all of this by yourself.
These inner emotional struggles and physical symptoms are your body’s way of telling you—
It’s time to pause and give yourself the care you so generously give to others. 💛

I’m excited to meet you. ☺️
If you’re considering therapy—or returning to it
I’d be honored to be that companion on your healing journey.
Someone who gently walks beside you, helps you hear your inner voice, and holds space for the pain that never got the chance to be seen, understood, or healed.
Let’s slowly rediscover the real you together—your peace, joy, and wholeness. 🥰
My specialty is depth-oriented therapy rooted in attachment and trauma-focused approaches.
If any of this resonated with you, then you are my ideal client 😌
And yes—this is me, a therapist, saying: I feel so much love for you.
Because I see you, and I also see the version of myself who once needed exactly this kind of care.
Therapy is a deeply intimate and vulnerable experience.
It is the meeting of the deepest self of the therapist with the deepest self of the client.
Dear You,
Thank you for being here. I hope you stay a while.
Starting therapy takes immense courage—inviting a “stranger” into your healing and self-exploration is no small step. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to meet you. In Chinese culture, Yuan Fen (缘分) represents a fateful connection that brings people together. I believe your presence here signifies some Yuan Fen between us, and to honor that, I want to share this letter with you.
Many people express difficulty finding a “good” counselor. It can take time, energy, patience, and sometimes painful trial and error. Therapy is an intimate and vulnerable experience—“the meeting of the deepest self of the therapist with the deepest self of the client.” Research shows that two of the most significant factors in successful therapy are the counselor’s characteristics and the therapeutic alliance. A good counselor fosters warmth, trust, and empathy while prioritizing a genuine connection. Yet, the counseling profession often overemphasizes techniques and theories over relationship-building, when in reality, the healing relationship itself is at the heart of transformation.
Coming from a culture deeply rooted in relationships, humility, and collective well-being, I see myself as a wounded healer—someone who has walked through the rain and now dedicates herself to holding the umbrella for others. Those close to me often describe me as “an old soul in a young body.” My passion for human connection, psychology, and well-being has always been a guiding force in my life. Though I initially pursued accounting, my father’s passing in 2015 led me to reevaluate my purpose. That profound loss taught me that life is too short, too unpredictable, and too precious not to live authentically.
I want every moment of my existence to count. No matter how many lives I touch, I hope to leave with no regrets. That realization set me on the path to becoming a mental health counselor. Seven years have passed, and the journey of growth and transformation has been both unexpected and deeply fulfilling.
Growth is a process of breaking through and emerging anew—a journey of self-exploration and self-construction. Everyday, we redefine and rediscover ourselves.
Who am I? What do I want? What do I need? What is the meaning of my life?
For me, being a mental health counselor is that meaning. It is my philosophy, my passion, and my way of connecting with the world. It is my way of embracing life in the face of mortality—a commitment to offering warmth and unconditional love to another soul.
Because you are truly worth it!
My unique counseling approach is gentle but firm. "Gentle" like a mother’s embrace, soaking in a hot spring in winter, or the first sip of hot cocoa. "Firm" in gently reflecting inconsistencies to expand self-awareness, always with empathy, non-judgment, and a focus on your well-being. I hope this balance helps you feel supported, understood, respected, accepted, and celebrated in our work together. More importantly, you will experience authentic growth, gain the capacity to be in your discomfort, and live your life with more control, clarity, and curiosity. You will finally be able to embrace the liberation in your heart and soul, with a sense of bright blue sky!
Lastly, I often remind my clients how much I learn from them and how resilient and brave they are. I believe there is no real distinction between us—we are all deeply and magically connected. There is nothing wrong with you. You are not unwell. You are simply doing your best to survive and protect yourself.
Whenever your heart desires, I am here to walk alongside you on this meaningful, sometimes overwhelming, yet fulfilling healing journey. It would be my greatest honor to enter your world, get to know you, witness your struggles, and celebrate your growth. In the meantime, please take gentle care of yourself—because you undoubtedly deserve it!
With warmth and care,
Rong Huang (She/her) Curious Capsule Counseling, PLLC
